Honesty. You need this from me, and I need this from you. Clarity. We need to work hard at achieving mutual understanding. This begins with carefully listening to each other. Later, a detailed, plain language contract is developed by us for the purpose of clarity in the business end of our developing relationship. Cooperation. You and all of those whom you enlist to help you, will receive my full cooperation. I hope for the same in return. Respect. We have something to offer each other. The free giving of respect will greatly enhance the experience of creating a marvellous log structure. Trust. This is essential. Tell me what you need in order for you to be able to trust me. Integrity. (n.) “The condition of being free from defects or flaws.” This is a higher standard than anyone is capable of achieving. Synonyms: “Soundness”, “Stability”, “Firmness”, “Solidity”, “Wholeness”, “Strength”. I looked up the meaning of this intensely important word, “integrity”. The several meanings given and their acceptable synonyms made me feel humble and unworthy. This is the word by which I describe myself, my business practices, the log homes which my Company builds, and my way of living. Construction Standards. See “Integrity”. No excuses.
