Problems

This growing page has a listing of sources of information about log homes, their design, maintenance, etc. Some links to Internet web sites are given.
A bit of free advice to the person who is seriously thinking about having a log structure designed and built. “Do not spend much of your time looking at images on your monitor.” Make some calls to and upon the few builders that you feel and think may be able to work with you, for you. Try and stay local so you will get the service you will need and are entitled to.
It is important that you decide whether it will be a handcrafted, natural, round log home... or a machined “log home”.
