This small revolving graphic image is one of the favored tools of Modern Log Home design. It represents the Chinese Philosophy of yin and yang. In ourselves we find opposite natures, a female and a male side. In the massive ruggedness of large logs is also found its’ opposite, the soft smoothness and comforting curves of naturally growing trees. Keeping this in mind is an essential key to designing and building what is now referred to as a “Soft Scandi”. I enjoy the simplicity of the image and of the idea that it represents. The results are in the field for you to see and experience.
The graphic representations of “Modern Log Homes” that you see in this web site are not styled by accident. Nor is the name.
