Trained by: Allan Mackie in P.E.I. in 1978, the Mackie School in Prince George, B.C. in 1982, 50 or more log builders in the yard, and 100 plus homes worth of experiences. Still learning.
Derek also had the good fortune to become intensely involved with the problem solving required to repair and restore log homes. This special experience continues to expand, along with his custom building practice.
